About the Project
Smart Life Medicare is a premium, high-converting healthcare and clinical aesthetics portal designed and developed for Dr. Rajender Kumar, a highly respected Consultant Skin Specialist and Physician based in Karachi, Pakistan. The objective was to create a modern digital touchpoint that coordinates clinical treatments across three physical branches (DHA Phase 6, Malir Cantt, and Bahria Town) while facilitating at-home doctor visits and paramedic nursing care.
The Challenge
Integrating three distinct clinic locations with varying practice schedules into a cohesive, user-friendly layout without cluttering the interface was a primary challenge. Furthermore, the client required a secure, robust, and lightweight appointment booking system that could operate natively inside WordPress without relying on expensive, bloated, and slow third-party booking plugins.
Our Solutions & Technical Highlights
Asymmetric Filterable Services Grid: Built a highly customized services grid showcasing 9 specialized dermo-aesthetic treatments. Powered by lightweight Vanilla JS, patients can dynamically filter services with seamless scale transitions. To prevent squished mobile views, I programmed a horizontal swipeable slider layout on mobile devices.
Zero-dependency AJAX Booking Engine: Programmed a custom PHP backend handler (appointment-handler.php) integrated with WordPress\\\'s database abstraction layer ($wpdb). The system automatically creates its own custom MySQL database tables upon initial deployment. Form submissions are processed asynchronously via AJAX, providing an instantaneous response.
3D Success Modal: Developed an interactive post-submission modal featuring a glowing 3D medical checkmark, backdrop-blur overlay, and native state reset controls to allow patients to book
consecutive visits.
Advanced Clinics Grid: Engineered a highly responsive grid showcasing the operating hours for all three branches. On mobile devices, the columns seamlessly align side-by-side using flex-scroll dynamics, ensuring the address details, maps navigation, and scheduling remain completely readable on compact viewports.
Clinical Commitment Callouts: Designed full-width immersive banner sections utilizing CSS viewport breakout techniques to bypass boxed Elementor layouts, creating a premium clinical aesthetic.
Project Results
The final product is an ultra-fast loading, lightweight, and highly secure healthcare application. It effectively drives clinical traffic, coordinates critical home-visit medical care, and registers patient appointments under a centralized custom database, achieving exceptional conversion rates and seamless client management.
